Following another hugely successful outing as part of MindField at this year’s Electric Picnic, Leviathan: Political Cabaret returns with a real blockbuster at the National Concert Hall on Saturday October 30th to prove that a real society is about much more than just economics.
Peter Mandelson, one of the principal architects of New Labour in Britain, will be interviewed by Miriam O’Callaghan about his new memoir: The Third Man: Life at the Heart of New Labour as well as his insights into the Northern Ireland peace process and reshaping a political party for a new era, something political parties in Ireland would do well do carefully consider. The audience will be invited to ask questions of Mr. Mandelson, who will also sign copies of his book before the event and during the interval.
After the break, economist, author and regular Leviathan host, David McWilliams returns to the helm after a sold-out run of his groundbreaking Outsiders one-man show at the Peacock. He will lead a public conversation – engaging with a passionate panel and audience alike – about whether there is a need for new type of politics in this country.
