Election Special Alastair Campbell in Conversation with David McWilliams

New Government: New Business?

David McWilliams talks to Alastair Campbell, Communications Director for Tony Blair about how businesses can generate trust amongst the public in a hostile media environment and how the new government can rebuild Ireland’s international reputation in the coming years. Joining them for a panel discussion will be Brendan Butler of IBEC, Professor Niamh Brennan, Centre for Corporate Governance, University College Dublin and Seán Gallagher, entrepreneur and Dragons’ Den.

The discussion will focus on what a new Government can do to help businesses drive economic recovery. What can our government and business do to repair our reputational damage overseas? How does it win the support of the people for reform of the economy and the public service? What are Ireland’s likely prospects over the next ten or 15 years?

This is an outstanding, not-to-be-missed opportunity to gain valuable insights into what the Irish economy needs to happen as a new Government takes over at the beginning of the second quarter. The event is fully interactive and there will be plenty of time for questions from the audience to the panel.

There will also be entertainment with musical comedy from Paddy Cullivan, leader of the Late Late Show house band.
