Developed from an annual festival-within-a-festival at the Electric Picnic, the now renowned MindField will present a vibrant programme of fully-interactive talks, readings, debates, workshops and much more, covering a full spectrum of culture including architecture, literature, slam poetry, technology, gaming, climate change, social entrepreneurship, fashion, art and design. Channel 4’s Jon Snow called it “…an extraordinary event – a cross between Hay-on-Wye and Glastonbury”. ”Festival Director, Naoise Nunn said: “All the events are designed to inform and entertain but, most of all, inspire people with new ideas for a sustainable and successful future for us all.” Set in Dublin’s beautiful Merrion Square gardens, the MindField Pavilion is the main venue. Crafted from oiled hardwood and waxed canvas, it is the largest yurt in the world. A second period marquee, houses the Arts Council Literary Stage, and will be surrounded by stalls serving the finest food and drink as well as a bookshop, forms the MindField village for the weekend. Enjoy Erdinger beer, Pieminister pies, seafood from Rathmullan House, crepes, coffee, ice-cream and much more.
